അൽ അമീനിന്റെ പരിചാരകൻ, അബ്ദുൽ മുത്വലിബിന്റെ പേരക്കുട്ടി മുഹമ്മദ് ﷺ ന്റെ അടിമ. മക്കക്കാർക്ക് സൈദും, സൈദിന് മക്കയും സുപരിചിതമായി. സൈദിന് വിരഹത്തിന്റെ വേദനയില്ല. ഉപ്പയും ഉമ്മയും സഹോദരങ്ങളും എല്ലാം ഇവിടെ ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഒപ്പം സാധാരണയിൽക്കവിഞ്ഞ എന്തൊക്കെയോ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളും സൈദ് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. അങ്ങനെയിരിക്കെ, ഹജ്ജ് കാലം വന്നു. നാനാ ഭാഗത്തുമുള്ള ആളുകൾ മക്കയിലും പരിസരത്തുമുണ്ട്. കൂട്ടത്തിൽ 'കൽബ്' ഗോത്രത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ളവരും മക്കയിലുണ്ട്. അവരിൽ ചിലർ വളരെ അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി സൈദിനെ കണ്ടുമുട്ടി. അവർ അവനെ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു. അവന് അവരെയും തിരിച്ചറിയാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞു. കാര്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം പങ്കുവച്ചു. താമസിക്കുന്ന വീടും മറ്റും അവർക്ക് പറഞ്ഞു കൊടുത്തു. യജമാനൻ ആരാണെന്ന് കൃത്യമായി ചോദിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു. സൈദ് അവരുടെ പക്കൽ ഒരു കവിതാശകലം എഴുതിക്കൊടുത്തു. ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ ക്ഷേമത്തിലും സന്തോഷത്തിലുമാണ് എന്നതായിരുന്നു കവിതയുടെ ആശയം. ഇത് എന്റെ വീട്ടുകാരെ ഏൽപ്പിക്കണം. എന്റെ അസാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ വിഷമിക്കുന്ന വീട്ടുകാർക്ക് ഇതൊരാശ്വാസമാകും. ഇത്രയും പറഞ്ഞ് അവൻ യജമാനന്റെ (നബിﷺ) അടുക്കലേക്ക് ഓടിപ്പോയി. 'കൽബ്' ഗോത്രക്കാരായ തീർഥാടകർക്ക് സന്തോഷമായി. ഹാരിസയ്ക്കും കുടുംബത്തിനും ഈ വാർത്ത ആശ്വാസം നൽകുമെന്ന് അവർ വിശ്വസിച്ചു. അവർ നാട്ടിലെത്തേണ്ട താമസം ഹാരിസയുടെ കുടുംബത്തെ വിവരമറിയിച്ചു. അവർക്ക് പുത്തൻ പ്രതീക്ഷ ലഭിച്ചു. തീർഥാടകരിൽ നിന്ന് കൂടുതൽ വിവരങ്ങൾ ശേഖരിച്ചു.
ഹാരിസ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. ഇനി ഒട്ടും വൈകിക്കൂടാ. ഉടനെ മക്കയിലേക്ക് പുറപ്പെടണം. എന്ത് വില കൊടുത്തും മകനെ മോചിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ടു വരണം. സഹോദരൻ കഅബ്നെ വിളിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹം മക്കയിൽ പരിചിതനും സ്വീകാര്യനുമാണ്. ഭീമമായ സംഖ്യയും കൈയിൽക്കരുതി രണ്ടു പേരും മക്കയിലേക്ക് പുറപ്പെട്ടു. മക്കയിലെത്തിയ ഉടനെ സൈദ് താമസിക്കുന്ന കുടുംബവും വീടും കണ്ടെത്തി. അവർ സൈദിന്റെ യജമാനൻ മുഹമ്മദ്ﷺയെ സന്ദർശിച്ചു. അവർ പറയാൻ തുടങ്ങി. അല്ലയോ അബ്ദുൽ മുത്വലിബിന്റെയും ഹാഷിമിന്റെയും പൗത്രനായ ബഹുമാന്യരേ.. ഈ നാടിന്റെ അഭിമാനമാണ് അവിടുന്ന് എന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾക്കറിയാം. അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ അതിഥികളെ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നവരും അവന്റെ ഭവനത്തിന്റെ പരിപാലകരുമാണല്ലൊ ഖുറൈശ്. കഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നവരെ രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തുന്നവരും ബന്ദികളെ മോചിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരുമാണല്ലോ അവിടുന്ന്. ഞങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ വന്നത് ഞങ്ങളുടെ മകനെ മോചിപ്പിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടിയാണ്. അവിടുത്തെ കൈവശമാണ് അവൻ ഉള്ളത്. അതിനെത്ര പണം വേണമെങ്കിലും ഞങ്ങൾ തരാൻ തയ്യാറാണ്. ഞങ്ങളോട് ദയവുണ്ടാവണം. നിങ്ങൾ ആരെക്കുറിച്ചാണ് പറയുന്നത്? നിങ്ങളുടെ ഏത് മകനാണ് ഞങ്ങളുടെ പക്കലുള്ളത്? നബിﷺ ചോദിച്ചു. അവർ പറഞ്ഞു. അവിടുത്തെ പരിചാരകനായ സൈദ്. അവൻ എന്റെ മകനാണ്. എന്റെ പേര് ഹാരിസ, എന്റെ ഒപ്പമുള്ളത് സഹോദരൻ കഅബ്. ശരി, നബിﷺ സ്നേഹാദരങ്ങളോടെ അവരോട് പ്രതികരിച്ചു. "അവൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മകനാണ് അല്ലേ! എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കവനെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ട് പോകാം. സൈദിന്റെ പിതാവാണ് നിങ്ങളെങ്കിൽ ഒരു തുകയും ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് നൽകേണ്ടതില്ല. പക്ഷേ, ഒരു കാര്യം, ഞാൻ അവനെ വിളിച്ച് കാര്യങ്ങൾ അന്വേഷിക്കാം. അവൻ സ്വയം സന്നദ്ധനാകുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് കുട്ടിക്കൊണ്ട് പോകാം. അവൻ ഇവിടെ എന്നോടൊപ്പം തുടരാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന പക്ഷം ബലാൽക്കാരമായി നിങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടു പോകരുത്".
"ശരിയാണ്, അവിടുന്ന് പറഞ്ഞത് ന്യായമാണ്. ഇതിലപ്പുറം ഒരു സഹായവും ഞങ്ങൾ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നില്ല".
നബി ﷺ സൈദിനെ ഉടൻ വിളിച്ചു വരുത്തി. അവൻ ആവേശത്തോടെ ഓടിയെത്തി.
അതിഥികളെ അവൻ വേഗം തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു. മുഖം പ്രസന്നമായി. ഹാരിസക്കും എന്തെന്നില്ലാത്ത സന്തോഷം. വിരഹത്തിന്റെ വേദനയിൽ നിന്ന് വീണ്ടും കണ്ടുമുട്ടിയതിന്റെ ആനന്ദത്തിൽ അയാൾ ലയിച്ചു. ഇനിയൊരിക്കലും കണ്ടുമുട്ടില്ലെന്ന് കരുതിയ പൊന്നോമന ആരോഗ്യത്തോടെ ഉന്മേഷവാനായി മുന്നിൽ നിൽക്കുന്നു! വിശ്വസിക്കാനാവാത്ത സമാഗമം.
മുത്ത് നബിﷺ സൈദിനോട് ചോദിച്ചു; "ആരൊക്കെയാ മോനേ, ഈ വന്ന് നിൽക്കുന്നത്?" "ഇതെന്റെ ഉപ്പ ഹാരിസത്ത് ബിൻ ശറാഹീൽ, അത് എന്റെ പിതൃവ്യൻ കഅബ്".
"മോനേ ഇവർ നിന്നെ മോചിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് പോകാനാ വന്നത്. മോൻ ഇവർക്കൊപ്പം പോകുന്നുണ്ടോ? അതല്ല, ഇവിടെ നമ്മോടൊപ്പം തന്നെ താമസിക്കുന്നോ? മോന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെയാകാം"

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنٰا مُحَمَّد وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلِّمْ
ഡോ. മുഹമ്മദ് ഫാറൂഖ് നഈമി അൽ-ബുഖാരി
Zaid, the servant of Al Ameen, the grandson of Abdul Mutalib become enough acquainted with the natives. Zaid was happy to be with Muhammedﷺ. He has no grief of homesickness. He got every affection and care of mother, father and brother. from his new home. And he felt some miraculous touches around his owner, Muhammadﷺ.
Time passed. The season of Hajj Pilgrimage started. From different parts of the world, people began to reach Mecca. Among them, some are from the tribe of Kalb. They met Zaid. He also realised them. They asked him about his new household and owner, and spent time with him. Zaid had given to the people of his tribe a poem containing his satisfaction with the new household, his owner, and asking his family to be not worried of him. Saying this, he went to his owner, the Prophetﷺ.
The letter reached to Harisa, father of Zaid, and his family. They became happy to know that their son is alive and is satisfied. But they cannot think their son being a slave. Harisa thought of releasing his son from slavery as soon as possible. Harisa called Ka' ab, his brother, a respectable personality in Mecca. With a huge amount of money, he set off to Mecca with his brother and reached there. They visited Muhammedﷺ, Zaid's owner and began to say: "O respected man, O the grandson of the Abdul Mutalib and Hashim! We know that you are the proud to this land. The Quraish are those who accept the guests of the Almighty and the guardians to His house. We know you are one who helps the affected and emancipates the enslaved. And, we are here to liberate our son Zaid, and are ready to give you the ransom money so much as you wish for. You are requested to be kind towards us."
"Whom are you talking about? " The prophetﷺ wondered. "Your servant Zaid is my son" Harisa explained. " Myself is Harisa. This is my brother Ka'ab". The prophet behaved to them with respect. The prophetﷺ told them that if he is the father of Zaid, he can take him to his home, with no ransom if Zaid is ready to go with his father. But if he is not willing to depart the prophetﷺ, they should not compel him to go with them. That is right. We do not expect more than this.
They agreed to the direction. Zaid was called. He has seen the guests, and became very happy by seeing his own father and uncle. Harisa became very happy. From the agony of absence he absorbed in the joy of meeting . Dear son, who he thought he would never meet again, stands there healthy and cheerful. Indeed an unbelievable reunion. The prophetﷺ asked Zaid who they are and he answered that they are his father and uncle. Then he was told the intention of the visitors to take him back to his home if he is ready. If he is not willing to go with them, he can continue there with the Prophetﷺ.
